Fat & Skinny Tire Fest: Rider Profile – Matt Marsh

Local MTB racer Matt Marsh hasn’t even turned 18 yet but has nearly a decade of racing experience under his belt. “It’s been awhile [since my first race],” he says. “I think my first race was when I was about 10.”

Marsh grew up riding the Winona Lake Trails with his family: “I’ve been riding the trails at Winona since I was five or six,” he says. He began traveling to race about four years ago, and currently races at the expert level.

When asked what he loves about FSTF, he says, “The people are the best part. Everyone is welcoming whether you’re racing or not.” He also noted that same attitude carries over to the races. “Guys racing are willing to stop and help if something goes wrong. You don’t feel like you’re out there alone.”

The 34th DINO Series kicks off at FSTF on May 18, so come out and test your mettle against Marsh and all the other MTB racers.
