Volunteer on the Trails
Maintain a Mile Teams
Most people believe there are trail fairies that maintain the mountain bike trails. These fairies pick up sticks, weed eat, and perform basic maintenance; we wish that was the case.
Unfortunately, that is not the case and it takes many volunteer hours to just maintain the mountain bike trails.
The good thing is no special skills are absolutely needed to pitch in. We’ll train you for the work you want to do. Most important, we’re looking for dedicated people just willing to give some time to help.
It is a privilege to have and maintain this natural park for our community’s outdoor enjoyment and education. Basic trail maintenance is the most important part of trail work. The art of basic trail maintenance is conservation, both for the stability of the trail and the intangible “experience” of the wilderness of the woods.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated! Watch for upcoming Trail Work Days, or ask us about our Maintain A Mile Teams. Contact us if you’re interested in volunteering on the trails.
