How To Conduct Yourself Safely On The Trails
The KCV Cycling Club Trail Committee and Maintain A Mile volunteers would like to remind everyone of the importance of being safe when you are riding or running the trails, as well as a few key rules to remember.
- Use only when open and at your own risk
- Bike and foot traffic go opposite direction
- Follow trail marking signs
- Helmets required for bicycling use
- Foot traffic yields to bicycle traffic
- All users announce yourself politely and pass cautiously
- Stay on marked trails only
- Do not block trails or stop on bridges
- Foot, bicycle, and pedal assist e-bikes only
- No strollers on off-road trails
- Dogs must be on a leash and under control
- No motorized travel on off-road trails
- Report trail/feature damage or down trees blocking the trail to info@kcvcycling.Org
- Unauthorized trail alterations not permitted
- Off-road trails are on private property
- Failure to obey rules can lead to trespassing fines
